On Saturday, May 5th, I will be participating in the 10th Anniversary of the Revlon Run/Walk For Women. You can join me in the fight against women's cancers by making a pledge or donation on my behalf. Your pledge will help fund important research into the cause and cure of women's cancers, prevention, education and support service programs. Every pledge will help bring us one step closer to a cure. You may donate here.

I miss the good ol' days

Beer Bands

Beer Bands

Received these as a gift from Lisa! Just in time for 5.5.

Never lose your beer again…simply stretch an entertaining "Beer Band" around your bottle or can and separate yourself from the rest of the pack. Choose from: bombed, blitzed, trashed, pickled, hammered, loaded, polluted, ripped, sauced, tanked, wrecked or wasted.

California Common

Took my Dad to the Southhampton Publick House for his 60th Birthday for brunch. It was MUCH SMALLER than I had anticipated. On a cloudy, spring day, it was also not as crowded as I expected. I enjoyed drinking the IPA at Brewtopia, and surprisingly the White Ale at the Philly Beer Fest but I had to go with the sampler that included: Montauk Light (Mom enjoyed (not a beer drinker)), Golden Lager, Pale Ale, Secret Ale, Extra Stout, Double White Ale, Steem Beer and Sullivan's Irish Ale. Went with a full pint of Steem Beer and when I asked the waitress the style she said a California beer (I learned a new style, "California Common")... as Southhampton describes it, "a fruity brew with notes of white grapes and lemon zest." See the reviews at Beer Advocate.
